GS1 Italy Workshop

10.7.2012
Milan, 11 July 2012

GS1

GS1 Italy (Indicod-ECR) is launching a workshop for companies of the wine-growing and wine-producing  sector to raise awareness about traceability standards and innovative solutions.

Treviso Tecnologia, being in charge of disseminating the results of the Farm2Fork project, keeps supporting the involvement of wine companies in such initiatives, having organized for example some introductory sections with GS1 at their premises or at Consorzio di Tutela Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

The F2F project has been presented during these moments through real business cases from wine pilot experiences:

  • Wine pilot (SALENTO): WSN/RFID system at Vigne Mastrodomenico to monitor weather, soil and crates traceability. At the winery each tagged crate is scanned by the RFID reader antenna, to link climatic and plant-related parameters to the harvest.
  • Wine pilot (UVIGO): from farm to distribution, deployment of wireless sensor networks at the vineyards and design and implementation of RFID-based traceability at the winery and the distribution stages of the company Vitivinicola do RIbeiro.

During the launch of the workshop Treviso Tecnologia has the opportunity to present F2F Food Information System through some brief demonstration, brochure dissemination and collection of questionnaires for consumers.
