Milan, Italy 27-28 June, 2012

QUID

The success of this European co-funded project is determined by the contribution of each partner of the consortium (find here a description of the role of each F2F partner).

Treviso Tecnologia (TVT) is in charge of dissemination and the establishment of a continuity plan, that along with a membership organisation of stakeholders will ensure the operativity after the end of the project and maintain the database as a service.

  • Shellfish pilot: Implementation at the Consorzio Cooperative Pescatori del Polesine, the biggest producer in Europe of clams, managing the whole supply chain of “Scardovari mussels” and “Polesine clams”, included in the register of traditional Italian products.

University of Salento (SALENTO) provides to the project the right competencies in several scientific fields, such as RFID systems, sensors, intelligent systems, distributed computing, etc. with a robust know-how in such fields, both from a scientific and an industrial point of view.

  • Wine pilot: WSN/RFID system at Vigne Mastrodomenico to monitor weather, soil and crates traceability. At the winery each tagged crate is scanned by the RFID reader antenna, to link climatic and plant-related parameters to the harvest.

Santer Reply analysed the information about the HW investigation, SW and existing RFID standards, evaluating different middleware available on the market. REPLY worked on data model analysis and design, software platform definition, and together with UW on interface definition for central database.

  • Cheese pilot: Integration of the pilot Icca in the F2F Food Information System in order to witness the steps of the product from the cattle to the consumer, and demonstrate with specific data and information the quality and well-being of the food.
